MapleStory 2 contains one of the most powerful outfit customization features ever, giving you the tools to create your own custom skins for countless items, and even trade or sell your creations to other players. These tools can be used by creative artists to design works that few could conceive of... but sometimes, if people are given a pen, they'll use it to draw something problematic.
Before you start creating your own works, please make sure you view our guidelines for designing with the UGC Content tools, as well as our official User Generated Content policy. While you can create just about anything you can put your mind to, designs that violate our Terms of Service (such as explicit or abusive content), have been copyrighted by a third party or are copied from another player are not permitted, and may be punished with deletion of the offending items, suspensions and bans, depending on severity.
Reporting Offending Designs
If you uncover a piece of UGC that you believe violates our rules, please report it to our Customer Support staff so that they can investigate. This can be best done via the in-game reporting tool (the siren icon on the item listing), which will hide the reported item from you for a day.
Please note: If you wish to report that another player copied your design, please use the "Copyright Violation" selection for now and note the name of your original design. We will be adding a Plagiarism option to the reporting system soon, to better specify the reports. Additionally, if you feel that your design was erroneously removed from the Design Shop, please submit a ticket to our Customer Support staff.
