Mounts allow Maplers in Maple Story 2 to quickly traverse the world by land, air and sea. Certain mounts can only be used in the air, land, or the sea. Some mounts, such as the Tamed Bucky mount allows Maplers to travel on the land and in the water. Maplers start off in the world by traveling solely by foot, but can obtain 3 mounts early on to help them on their quest: the Flying Balloon, the Heavenbound Hog, and the Tamed Bucky. Additional mounts can be bought with Merets, Treva, Mesos, etc. and through quests. Mounts vary in speed, riding options, and have unique run cycles.
