There is a variety of Gear in MapleStory 2.
Summary
All equipment comes with a level requirement for a player to use it; additionally, it has a Gear Score which contributes to your character's gear score and is required to enter certain dungeons/raids. It will also have a rarity, which affects the stats and gear score of the item. From lowest to highest, these ranks are: Common, Rare, Exceptional, Epic, Legendary, and Ascendant. Currently, Ascendant gear is not in the game.
Outfits can be used to cover up gear you do not want visible.
